A simple guide to managing crypto with confidence.
One wallet, many assets
Exodus Web3 Wallet brings a clear, approachable portfolio view to the browser. Review supported digital assets, see estimated prices, and understand how each token contributes to your total balance. A portfolio is a snapshot, not a promise of future value: crypto prices can move quickly, and market prices shown in wallet interfaces are estimates that may differ from the final rate available when a transaction is submitted.
Use the asset search above to quickly locate a token in your list. The action menu helps you begin common tasks, while the activity view offers a chronological place to review transactions. This sample interface is for demonstration and does not connect to a blockchain or move funds.
Send, receive, and swap thoughtfully
To receive an asset, first confirm that the selected network matches the network the sender will use. Copy the address directly from the wallet and verify its first and last characters before sharing. Sending to an incompatible network or incorrect address may result in irreversible loss. For a transfer, carefully check the asset, recipient, network fee, and amount before authorizing it.
Swaps may involve network fees, price impact, and changing exchange rates. Review all quoted terms before approval and never rely on a stranger to guide you through a transfer. No wallet provider, support agent, or legitimate app needs your secret recovery phrase or private keys.
Your keys, your responsibility
A self-custody wallet gives you control over access. That also means you are responsible for keeping your recovery phrase private and secure. Write it down offline in a safe place, never capture or send it in a message, and do not enter it on a website claiming to restore or verify your wallet. Anyone who obtains the phrase may be able to control the assets associated with it.
For extra care, use a unique device passcode, keep your browser up to date, and check the exact website domain before connecting to a decentralized application. Disconnect permissions you no longer need, be cautious with unexpected token approvals, and pause if a transaction request seems unfamiliar.
It can help to separate everyday browsing from wallet activity and keep software on trusted, current versions. Bookmark verified applications instead of following urgent links in unsolicited messages. If you believe a device or wallet is compromised, stop interacting with it and seek guidance through verified official channels; never provide recovery information to anyone offering to help.
Understand what you see
Displayed balances combine token quantities with indicative market prices and may not reflect liquidity, fees, or the amount you could receive in a sale. Network confirmations can take time, and a pending activity item may update as the blockchain processes it. Review transaction details in a trusted block explorer when appropriate, but make sure you are using the genuine explorer for the relevant network.
